Halkawt is a 45-year-old man, a writer, who is deeply lonely. One night, from his apartment window, he observes three different stories unfolding in the apartment building across from him, including the murder of a woman. The next morning Hallkawt, in a wheelchair, writes down what he saw. When he finishes, he goes to the window and moves the curtain. To his surprise, there is no apartment across from him. This film focuses on how prolonged isolation can lead to emotional and mental distress, while writing and creativity can offer a way out.
