Noor Omer, born in Kirkuk, studied acting at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kirkuk. She then earned her BA in cinema, specializing in directing, at the College of Fine Arts in Erbil Salahaddin University. She appeared as an actress in numerous short and feature-length films, giving her a deep understanding of performance in front of the camera. Alongside acting and directing she possesses strong technical expertise in camera operating and composition. As a director she has a passion for working within the crime mystery and tragedy genres To date she has written and directed two independent short films, Tableau and Victim, through which she is establishing a distinct artistic vision. She is currently based in Erbil.
