Synopsis
Soz is a 22-year-old woman who, along with her family, was displaced from the city of Afrin eight years ago. Since then, they have been living in a school-turned-shelter. Soz is currently a student at the Higher Institute of Cinema. A recent agreement allows displaced families to return home, and her family decides to return to their hometown of Afrin. Soz faces a grueling dilemma: will she return with them or stay behind to pursue her filmmaking passion?

Director's Bio
Medya Mohammed is a second-year cinema student at the Rojava High institute of art-Hilala Zêrîn, a four-year institution dedicated to training women in the arts and filmmaking. Driven by her passion for visual storytelling, Mohammed created her debut short documentary The Decision (Biryar) as an academic project. In her cinematic work, she strives to explore profound social and cultural themes, bringing a fresh, youthful perspective that reflects identity and reality onto the screen.
