Synopsis
Ilhan Sami Çomak, a Kurdish man in Bakur, as a student accused without evidence of links to the PKK. Convicted, he spent 30 years in prison. There Ilhan transformed his cell into a space of imagination and resistance through poetry. This visual poem, told in his own words, captures the emotional and creative force that helped him survive decades of incarceration. It is a story of endurance, expression, and the quiet power of words to transcend walls.

Morgan Tipping is a socially engaged artist and activist filmmaker, while Tommy Chavannes is a film and video artist. For 8 years they have collaborated to create ethically engaged and empowering short films and videos about people caught between political, social, and economic constraints. Their award-winning work has been screened at numerous film festivals, museums, and galleries.
