Threads of Resistance

NYKCC held  a performative discussion on the continuity of Kurdish life and culture in Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhelat).

Amid ongoing political and cultural restrictions, the conversation will explore how Kurdish, Baluchies and other communities sustain their language, traditions, and identity—and raise a critical question: if democratic change is sought in Iran, why is recognition and agency for Kurds and other communities still resisted?

Date: March 29, 2026
Time: 2-5 pm
Location: Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung

Participants also engaged in Kurdish cultural crafts, creating a shared space for dialogue, reflection, and connection.

Light refreshments were served and crafts were provided.
