Our world is full of lust and hatred. We are all on some level alone, but many people don’t seem to know it. In the film, Rashid buys a bed and has everything he wants. But he cannot sleep on it alone.
Director’s biography:
Nima Abdolazimi was born in July 2000 in Rojhelat (Kurdistan in Iran). He started working in theater at 14 and cinema a year later, as an assistant director. I Turn Off the Lights is his first film, produced by the Youth Cinema Association. It has been screened at Iranian festivals, and it won the special jury prize at the fifth Silêmanî Film Festival. Abdolazimi is currently in post-production on his new film, Domestic.
