Michael L. Chyet interview

An American from the Midwest explains how he became a scholar of Middle Eastern languages, including Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Kurmanci, Sorani, and more.

Michael L. Chyet is the author of an English-Kurmanci dictionary. He is the Middle Eastern cataloguer at LOC. He was previously head of the VOA Kurdish Service (1995-2000) and taught Kurmanci at the Sorbonne. He offers advice to students learning Kurdish languages today.
