Synopsis
Hana, a young woman, lives with an elderly husband but experiences love for the first time with young Ardalan. Following the village’s traditions, the elderly husband plans to marry off their young daughter. Determined to prevent her daughter from sharing the same fate she suffered, Hana does everything in her power to stop the marriage. She seeks Ardalan’s help to ensure that her daughter isn’t wed to a man as old as her own husband. But Ardalan seems to share the same mindset as her husband. The film highlights the devastating long-term consequences of child marriage on a woman’s future.

Director's Bio
English:
Hossein Firouzeh, born in Khorasan province, Rojhelat, studied applied chemistry. He is now an independent Kurdish filmmaker, showing Kurdish culture through cinema and television. For Iranian TV he wrote and directed the 13-episode series Istade Dar Tarikh (Standing in History, 2019). He then wrote and directed the short films Chehlcheragh (The Apple Orchard, 2021), 9 Hours with Hana (2022), Marakh (2023), and Happy End (2024).
