Zagros Film Festival

The Zagros Film Festival is the first online Kurdish film festival. In its inaugural edition, running for the month of March 2024, it is screening 15 films. These influential feature and short films highlight the identity and history of the Kurdish people, with the intention of introducing Kurdish culture and heritage to a global audience. The films are in Kurdish with English subtitles.

“Dear art lovers, cinema enthusiasts, and friends of Kurdish culture from around the world,” reads the website, “welcome to a unifying art activity that transcends borders, geographies, and languages.” The fifteen films “originate from various regions of Kurdistan and are filmed in different dialects of Kurdish.” Watch all of them before March 31 on the website!
