The uprising challenged the tyrannical Islamic fundamentalist regime under the slogan \u201cJin Jiyan Azad\u00ee.\u201d<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The collective made the film to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenleft.org.au\/content\/animated-film-comrades-jina-amini-screen-love-art-and-revolution-film-festival\">support<\/a> the campaign by the Green Left Party (Ye\u015fil Sol Parti, YSP), which is running in the upcoming May 14 Turkish general election. The YSP is the electoral vehicle through which the HDP will participate. The HDP is forced to take part by this indirect means due to the Erdo\u011fan regime\u2019s intransigent repression of the party.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The collective wanted the film \u201cto salute the struggle of the Green Left Party and it is in this context that we launched the animated film <em>Comrades of J\u00eena Amini.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 They affirm that the liberation of women is at the heart of all true struggles for human liberation today.
