It offered a range of films, long and short, fiction and documentary, that speak to the condition of Kurdish people in Kurdistan and elsewhere in the world.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NYKFF dedicated the sixth edition to the memory of J\u00eena Em\u00een\u00ee (Mahsa Amini), the 22-year-old Kurdish woman who was brutally murdered while in custody of the Iranian morality police. J\u00eena had been arrested because some portion of her hair was uncovered.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The films screened were:<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>About 111 Girl,<\/em> directed by Nahid Ghobadi and Bijan Zamanpira (2012, documentary)\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Casim\u00ea Cel\u00eel: Life of a Kurdish Intellectual, <\/em>directed by Celil Bedikanli and \u00d6zlem Diler (2021, documentary, biography)<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Damn Employer, <\/em>directed by Kiumars Sobhani (short, drama)<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>The Dance of Ali and Zin (Govenda Al\u00ee \u00fb Z\u00een),<\/em> directed by Mehmet Ali Konar (2021, drama)<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Fingerprint (\u015eiw\u00eanpence),
