\"StatueThe eighth edition of the New York Kurdish Film Festival will be a cinematic journey into the heart of Kurdish culture. This weeklong event, running from October 12 to 19, will once again celebrate the indomitable spirit of the Kurdish people.\u00a0<\/p>

This year’s festival has as its theme Kurdish Mother Tongues. In that spirit, we present films made in a range of Kurdish languages, including for the first time a film entirely in Luri. \u00a0<\/p>

As always, we have brought several directors for in-person Q&As after their films are screened. Among the films, you will find discussion panels with reflections on Kurdish culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
