Opening night of the film festival on October 12 will take place at the historic Village East by Angelika theater on Second Avenue in Manhattan.
Enter the theater—you will stay at street level. Check in at our front desk to pick up your prepaid pass or purchase tickets.
Continue on into the lobby, where we will hold the opening night reception. Say hello to friends, make new friends, and enjoy Kurdish cuisine.
The opening remarks, the musical performance, the film screening, and the director’s Q&A will all take place in the main theater.
All events from October 13 to 16 take place at the Angelica’s Theater 2. Once you check in and enter the lobby, head downstairs to the lower level.
Theater 2 is small and intimate, perfect for discussions as well as film screenings.
All events from October 17 to October 19 will take place at Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, at 275 Madison at East 40th Street.
The New York Kurdish Cultural Center, established in 2017, seeks to nurture and showcase Kurdish contributions to the visual and performing arts, cinema, and literature. By creating venues for exhibitions and performances in the New York area, it further aims to foster community among Kurds and to build bridges with non-Kurdish communities.
The NYKCC creates spaces where Kurds and friends of Kurds may interact in safety. We do not tolerate discriminatory behavior based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.
The New York Kurdish Cultural Center, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in New York State.
