Directors Aware Omer and Edris Abdi greet NYKFF7

NYKFF7 is thrilled to be screening the film Laboratory No. 2, directed by Aware Omer and Edris Abdi, this coming October.

Aware Omar Saeed was born in 1986 in Silêmanî and graduated from the department of filmmaking of Silêmanî University. He has worked in the field of lighting for 24 years He has participated in more than 20 short films. He has worked as a cinematographer for four documentaries, one of which he wrote, directed, and co-produced (Laboratory No. 2). He has participated in several domestic and international festivals and won several awards. As a cinematographer, he was invited to the 30th Camera Image Festival in Poland, which is considered one of the best cinematographic festivals.

Edris Abdi was born in 1984 in Marivan in Rojhelat. He studied filmmaking and film editing at the Tehran University of Applied Sciences and Technology. He has sound-recorded and sound-designed more than 40 short films and feature films. As a writer and director, he has produced the films The Sperm, Thirst Flight, and Laboratory No. 2. He has published more than twenty articles about cinema on websites and in newspapers.
