Director Perwîz Rostemî greets NYKFF7
NYKFF7 is thrilled to be screening the film Seven Symphonies of the Zagros by Perwîz Rostemî this coming October.
The director has sent his greetings to the Film Festival—you can watch the video here! It’s in Sorani with English subtitles.
Perwîz Rostemî was born in 1977 in Oraman Takht, in Rojhelat (Iranian Kurdistan). During the Iran-Iraq War, he migrated from Oraman to Sarvabad to continue his education. He earned a university degree in painting. In 2001 he made his first film, My Shoes. In 2015 he earned a first-class degree in directing from the Iranian Cinema Deputy Organization. To date, he has successfully made eighteen short films, seven semi-feature films, and three TV series.
