Touching Freedom

Synopsis:

In 2014 two Kurdish students Jenkidar and Hussein are leading a careless student life in Beirut. They return to their hometown of Kobane and pick up video cameras for the first time to document the Kurdish resistance to ISIS. One by one they introduce us to their family and friends, who one by one become victims in the almost impossible defense of the city. As the battle intensifies, Jenkidar and Hussein flee Kobane in order to survive and end up as refugees in Barcelona and Paris. As they come to terms with their experience, they realize that they are transformed for life and must tell the world about their family and friends, so they did not die in vain.
